3D Printing at the TTUHSC Libraries

Thanks to award funding from a NN/LM SCR Emerging Technology Award supported by Federal funds from the National Library of Medicine, the TTUHSC Libraries were able to purchase two 3D printers for the Lubbock and Odessa campus libraries. Patrons can print 3D objects that will enhance their academic, clinical, and research experience at the TTUHSC.

The TTUHSC Libraries have two Makerbot Replicator (Fifth Generation) 3D printers. The Lubbock printer is located in the Learning Resource Center (LRC) of the Preston Smith Library. The Odessa one is located upstairs in the Library, Room 2C90. This machine prints objects in single color (red, blue, white, clear) and uses plant-based, recyclable PLA plastic.

The 3D print service is available to TTUHSC students, faculty, staff, researchers, and clinicians.
