Two primary search options:

  • Quick Search: Enter key words, with or without Boolean seach operators, then click "Search" to see results.
  • EMTREE: Found in the top 'navigation ribbon" ; enter term, then click "Find Term." EMTREE is usually your best option as it helps with the precision of your search.

>Clicking on "major Focus" box will emphasize major concept.

Broadening the search:

  • To broaden search click "Explosion." This will include all of the indented terms under your key-word.
  • After the terms are selected click "add to query builder."
  • Note: You can select a more specific term if needed; this will limit the search further.
  • In query builder, both topics are searched.

Adding additional terms:

  • Click on EMTREE
  • Type your search term, like 'etiology'
  • Click find term
  • Click on blue hyperlink for your term.
