Starting May 15, 2021, the TTUHSC Libraries will have a new interlibrary loan (ILL) system for requesting items that are not available through the library. TTUHSC faculty, students and staff will be able to place, renew, and check on the status of their ILL requests. First time users will need to create an ILL account by logging in with their HSC eRaider. Be sure to select your affiliated school. All ILLs will remain free.
Interlibrary Loan (ILL) services is available to all TTUHSC library account holders requesting books, photocopies of journal articles, or audiovisuals not available through the TTUHSC Libraries. When you request an item, we send your request to other libraries throughout the United States that participate in ILL. If the item is available for loan, they will mail or email us a copy of the item.
Requests made after 4:00 PM (CT) are processed the following business day except in clinical emergencies. Requests received after 5:00 PM (CT) on weekdays, on weekends, or holidays, will be processed the next business day.
Materials from other libraries are normally received in 2-5 business days for routine requests. Rush requests are normally received with 24 working hours. Clinical emergency/patient care requests are processed immediately with the goal of one hour turnaround time. Students are encouraged to take into consideration the amount of time to receive an item through ILL while working on their assignments.
Patrons are notified by phone or email when items are received. Payment may be by cash, check, or debit/credit card.
