The committee is charged with monitoring advancements in scholarly communication, open access, institutional repositories, and related legislative and funding initiatives, and communicating their implications to campus stakeholders. It is also charged with exploring possible cooperative professional development programs with appropriately aligned organizations. Members of this committee will also serve on library-wide and university committees, task forces, and teams. This committee will also engage in communications, strategies, and activities to inform, educate, and collaborate with academic health sciences administrators, faculty, or other stakeholders and organizations with regard to scholarly communications. Finally, this committee will develop and implement an Open Access Policy.
