Workshop Description:
This workshop provides a window into the segmentation and 3D printing process. Participants will learn how to slice and 3D print a heart segment that represents the parasternal long-axis ultrasound view. The workshop lasts one hour and we have spaces for up to 20 students. Please email us to schedule your workshop today: 3d.library.printing@ttuhsc.edu
In this one hour workshop, students will learn about the long and winding path that is the history of 3D printing, current 3D printing medical practices, and how to think like an artist. By drawing connections between the history of artistic genius, scientific innovation, and current uses of 3D printing in medicine, students work together to reformulate existing practices by pushing them to the absurd.
