About the TTUHSC Libraries

The mission of the Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center Libraries of the Health Sciences is to enhance learning, research, and patient care in the digital age by providing knowledge-based resources, innovative support, and outstanding service; and, by extension, to meet the biomedical information needs of the informationally underserved biomedical community and the resident citizenry of the 108‑county area of West Texas

The Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center (TTUHSC) Libraries of the Health Sciences, founded in 1971, is a three-library system with branches at the TTUHSC campuses in Amarillo, Lubbock, and Odessa. Collectively, the TTUHSC Libraries of the Health Sciences form one of the Resource Libraries of the National Library of Medicine/South Central Region. The TTUHSC Libraries of the Health Sciences support the Schools of Medicine, Nursing, Health Professions, and Pharmacy, as well as the Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences.
